Carol & Manny

Carol Gelakouski grew up in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. As a child she found herself drawn to the performing arts. She busied herself with dance and theatre. Always a great student, she received her Bachelors degree in Marketing Communications with a minor in theatre. After college Carol moved west to Los Angeles to pursue her career in dance and theatre. Horses entered her life through dance friends this same year.

Carol shared weekly horseback rides with her new friends and became hooked on horses. As a result of this new part of her life she got her own horse the following year, an Arabian gelding named Manny. Carol and Manny are still together to this day, 16 years later! Carol’s career then took her to Hawaii for 2 years. Manny was shipped from Los Angeles to Maui where they lived in a country home 3000 feet above the blue Pacific! Carol and Manny's life consisted of weekly rides through the crater of the Haleakala volcano.

Upon Carol's return to the main land, she started her 2nd career in the real-estate business. Carol currently sells Homes To The Stars here in the Hollywood Hills and continues to be an active participant in the Hollywood community. At the end of her busy day, Carol saddles up Manny and takes to our beautiful trails in Griffith Park. She is definitely a sight to see on her spicy Arab, Manny!
